Chateau manager Alicia can provide advice and recommendations depending on your taste and mood, as well as booking tables for you if desired. You can also check out local markets for fresh, local produce and delicious street food.

With the Bergerac and Burgundy wine regions on your doorstep, Immaculate Chateau offers the ideal location for wine lovers to tour award-winning local vineyards, from small family operations to large producers of worldwide renown. Most offer wine tastings and many boast shops, restaurants and more. Why not make this your first day trip to stock up on exceptional local wines to enjoy during your stay?
La Base international training centre
Immaculate Chateau is in Temple Sur Lot, where the La Base international training centre is located.
If you're planning a visit to the centre for a rowing training week, cycling holiday or hiking trip, why not treat yourself to luxury accommodation to make your experience extra special?
La Base is a popular training centre for UK rowing clubs, who visit the centre for annual training camps. La Base boasts its own gym, pools, outdoor fields and indoor sports halls, running a packed programme of events and programmes throughout the year.
Lily gardens
France is the birthplace of the water lily as we know it today, thanks to one man - Bory Latour-Marliac, who hybridised hardy white water lilies with colourful wild varieties from North America and elsewhere. They inspired his friend, Claude Monet to produce a series of world-famous paintings devoted to the plant.
Latour-Marliac was born in Granges-sur-Lot, just a few minutes away from Temple-sur-Lot. The beautiful lily gardens are just a short walk from Immaculate Chateau.
You'll find a shop and restaurant there, where you can dine on the terrace surrounded by the spectacular plants.
Other activities
Visit the local swimming lake at nearby Lougratte or hire kayaks, canoes and more on the River Lot, just a short drive from the chateau. There’s even a beach there!
Golfers can tee off at Golf de Barthe, less than 20 minutes away in Tombeboeuf. It’s a beautiful 9-hole course surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and fruit trees with a driving range, putting green, equipment rental, clubhouse, bar and lounge, courses and workshops. It's open seven days a week to members and visitors.

Days out
Bastide towns are beautifully preserved medieval towns, built between 1200 and 1400 to protect inhabitants from the ravages of war and begin to establish what we now know as a modern society, in this previously wild and inhospitable part of the world. Most bastide towns can be found here in south-west France and make for a wonderful day out – try Eymet, Monflanquin and Pujols.
A day trip to Bordeaux is highly recommended for shops, architecture and Gordon Ramsey’s famous restaurant.
